ABOUT DCD

Encouraged by Lois Smith's recent bequest, Dance Collection Danse is in the process of creating a planned giving program. Contributing a major gift to our organization may be more possible than you imagine. Estate planning can leave a lasting legacy that speaks to your passion for dance while providing growth and stability for Dance Collection Danse in the future.

Our beloved Lois Smith, The National Ballet of Canada's first prima ballerina, died in January 2011. Following her passing, DCD became the recipient of a substantial bequest for which we will be forever grateful. This generous gift will help to further our dream of a new facility where she will be prominently and deservedly acknowledged in perpetuity.

Following Lois's example, we invite arts patrons, dance lovers and the dance community to invest in the future and support the legacy of the art form by ensuring that theatrical dance history is preserved for the benefit of future generations.

Through her magnificent generosity, Lois Smith has set the bar high … as she did with her superb and unparalleled performances. A great dancer. A great lady. A great example for all.

For more information about planned giving contact Pamela Grundy, Development Co-ordinator, or 416-365-3233.
