And as we move forward… we introduce you to Vickie Fagan our new Manager of Donor Relations. Vickie has a background in marketing and communications, and continues her work as a producer and writer. She has an ongoing relationship with Zoomer Media where she created website and social media content for the Canadian Association for Retired people (CARP) and produced a series of promotional videos with the members of Team Canada 72. Among many other media-related endeavours, Vickie was a producer and co-writer for the CBC special The Curse of Clara, an animated film derived from her short story originally published in Descant Literary Magazine. The film won the 2017 Canadian Screen Award for Best Animated Program or Series. In her earlier life, Vickie trained at Canada’s National Ballet School

and worked as a freelance contemporary dancer. Vickie brings a substantive sense of humor and much good energy to our DCD team.

"Dance has always been such an integral
part of my life; the communications

field has been the gateway for my personal transition. Here at DCD, I am thrilled to fuse

these worlds, to build relationships, capitalize on exciting changes afoot at DCD, and gather more supporters around us."

Pamela GrundyAnd we say good-bye to Pamela Grundy who left us this August. Pam was an inspired contributor to the life and well-being of DCD over the six years she was with us as Development Co-ordinator along with her many earlier years at DCD as an active board member and board chair. We are indebted to Pam for all the numerous seasons she has “carried the torch” for the organization. We wish her well and hope that the next stages of her life (partly in Nova Scotia) are as productive and vital for her and for those with whom she will be working. We love ya, Pam… our enduring thanks.
