The Nancy Lima Dent Exhibit is an example of Dance Collection Danse's "museum without walls". We invite you to tour the exhibit and gain some insight into Canada's dance history. This exhibit chronicles the artistic life of one of Canada's modern dance pioneers, provides a slice of Canadian dance history and expands the ever-growing knowledge of Canadian social history. As you travel through the exhibit you will find the occasional "Tour" button. Clicking this button will lead you to more details about a certain aspect of Nancy Lima Dent's work and will always return you to the main exhibit afterward. You will also find that certain words appear in the colour blue, if you click on the word a small box will appear providing further description or a related image.

The images and artifacts that you will view in this exhibit come from the Nancy Lima Dent Portfolio at Dance Collection Danse. Her portfolio, in addition to nearly ten hours or oral history interviews with Lima Dent, have provided extensive documentation about her life's work. If you would like to read a biography of Nancy Lima Dent please see Clifford Collier's article in the Encyclopedia of Theatre Dance in Canada/Encyclopédie de la Danse Théâtrale au Canada. Collier's article is one of over 200 entries on Canadian dance artists included in this landmark encyclopedia published by Dance Collection Danse Press/es in 2000.
