Lima Dent, Kvietys and Rogge organized the second festival this time called Modern Dance Festival. Now a two-night presentation, this festival saw the emergence of new choreographers from the existing groups. From the Nancy Lima Dent Dance Theatre: Nadine Hollow, Merle Lister, Henry Sadai and Norman Evans formed a group called Studio Six; Ruth Tutti Lau had already emerged from Bianca Rogge's studio; Sylvia Macdonald and Maizie Traugott also came out of Rogge's studio to choreograph together; and another Rogge dancer, Ola Skanks, formed a group called The Home Service Quartet.
