Ray Ellenwood (Co-Writer and Co-Curator)
Dr. Ray Ellenwood is a retired York University professor of English. He has published ten books of translation, French-to-English, mostly of Québec literature, including the manifesto Refus global by the Montreal Automatist Movement. Besides a number of articles on the dancers, writers and artists of that group, he has published Egregore: A History of the Automatist Movement of Montreal (Exile Editions, Toronto, 1992). Ellenwood continues to work on projects related to his research, including a forthcoming article on dance artist Françoise Riopelle for Dance Collection Danse.


 

Allana Lindgren (Co-Writer and Co-Curator)
Dr. Allana Lindgren is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre at the University of Victoria. Her research interests include modernist performance and Canadian cultural history. Her book From Automatism to Modern Dance: Françoise Sullivan with Franziska Boas in New York was published by Dance Collection Danse Press/es in 2003.


 

Michael Ripley (Site Designer)
The owner of Believe It Design Works, Michael has created Web sites and graphic designs for a variety of companies, foundations, societies and individuals. Notable clients include Theatre Direct Canada, The Society for Canadian Dance Studies/Société des études canadiennes en danse, Dancing Our Stories and Dance Collection Danse. Most recently he designed sites for Cindy Ashton, Theatremanation, and Rhythmic By Nature. Michael’s primary focus is to work for arts-related clients as he is also a professional actor and playwright.
